2008 Voter Guides Goals
As a young organization we are growing in numbers which will give us
more of a presents in the public meetings and the government process.
One of our goals in 2008 is to develop Voter Guides for our members
and the public on issues that affect the taxpayers of Morgan County.
This will involve the need to develop a standard list of issues to
track and then gather the voting record from the county and local
government entities of our elected representatives on the same. This
endeavor can be made without to much strain on our volunteer members if
we keep it at the township level and keep our travel and access
requirements to a minimum.
Once required information is gathered we will then need to compile an
online voters guide for each local (town) government along with the
county records that effect all county members. Depending on our success
and time we then can publish a hard copy version to pass out at the
polls.
This should not be a partisan effort but a taxpayer effort. Let our Position Statement be our guide.
